Kerry Thomas

Community HIV Decriminalization Strategist at Sero Project

Kerry has dedicated a substantial portion of his life to advocacy, particularly in the areas of HIV decriminalization and justice reform. Kerry served 15 years in prison for not disclosing his HIV status to a sexual partner. During this challenging time, he joined the Board of Directors of the Sero Project, and his incarceration served as a catalyst for his advocacy work. From behind bars, Kerry collaborated with various outreach organizations, sharing his perspective on the pressing issues surrounding HIV criminalization and granting interviews to the media, shedding light on the challenges faced by prisoners living with HIV.
